John Hohl- owner & guide-  A flyfisherman since the age of eight, John pursued his fly fishing obsession from an early age. He obtained a degree in fisheries biology to further his knowlege of the fish he pursues for a living. He has followed this angling obsession through more than a dozen nations and hundreds of localities always returning home though to the greatest fishery in the world, Alaska. As a guide, biologist and floatplane pilot, John breathes the flyfishing lifestyle.

Levi Hohl

Levi Hohl -guide- Levi has been an ardent angler for nearly his whole life. A knowledgable, cheerful and excellant guide, Levi knows how and where to put his anglers onto fish. Levi’s experience guiding and working in remote Alaska began at a early age,  in turn providing him with a wealth of knowledge. Guide, pilot and  certified A&P aircraft mechanic, Levi has learned to combine these aspects of Alaskan life as his daily mantra.

Jake Hohl

Jake Hohl -camp manager- Jake is the logistics and camp manger for AFA, INC. He expertly handles all aspects of our remote camps.  Piloting gear laden rafts downriver , Jake has camp setup prior to our arrival creating a comfortable and unique experience among other Alaskan fly fishing companies.  A great rafter and always friendly , Jake is an intricate part of the AFA staff.
