John Hohl ~ owner & guide A fly fisherman since 8 years old, John pursued his dream of fly fishing from an early age. He obtained a degree in fisheries biology to further his knowledge of the fish he pursues for a living. He has taken this pursuit through more than a dozen nations and hundreds of localities always returning home though, to the greatest fishery in the world, Alaska. As a guide, biologist and pilot John breathes the fly fishing life style.
Levi Hohl ~ guide Levi has been an ardent fly angler for nearly his whole life. A cheerful, knowledgeable and competent guide, Levi knows how and where to get his anglers on fish no matter the season or conditions. Levi’s experience guiding began at an early age, in turn providing him with a wealth of knowledge. Guide, aircraft mechanic and pilot, Levi has learned to combine all these aspects of Alaskan life as his daily mantra.
Jacob Hohl ~ camp manager Jake is the logistics and camp manager for afa INC. He expertly handles all facets of our remote camps. Piloting gear laden rafts downriver, Jake has camp set up and organized prior to our arrival creating a comfortable and unique experience among other raft companies. A great rafter and always friendly, Jake is an intricate part of the afa staff.
